RussMatt Baseball
RussMatt Baseball was founded in 2008 in Portland, Maine, by former Williams College baseball coach David Barnard and his wife, Betsy. The family business was named after their two young sons, Russell and Matthew.
The RussMatt Baseball tournament brings college and high school baseball teams to Central Florida during spring break, from late February through the end of March.
My relationship with RussMatt began in 2008, when Betsy contacted me after their inaugural tournament. They were looking for a travel partner who could provide the level of personalized service their teams and coaches needed.
I began working with RussMatt in preparation for the 2009 season and have proudly continued that relationship ever since.
David and Betsy grew RussMatt into a highly successful organization before selling the company in 2018 to its current owner, Robert Sitz. When Robert purchased the business, he asked me to remain RussMatt Baseball’s preferred travel advisor because of the strong relationship I had built with its coaches and teams.
Today, RussMatt remains the largest collegiate baseball tournament in the United States.
