We will visit four of the Azores islands: Sao Miguel, the largest and most populous island; Terceira the “lilac” island, Faial the “blue” island which is home to the western most point in Europe as well as the dormant Capeinhos volcano, and the island of Pico.
The tour includes flights out of Boston and inter-island flights, upscale hotel accommodations and sightseeing on each of the islands. This is a unique island vacation full of new experiences!

Island of Faial
Monday, April 19
Half day sightseeing tour of the island.
Tuesday, April 20
Ferry over to Island of Pico. Full day guided tour of the island, including lunch.
Island of Terceira
Thursday, April 22
Full day tour of the island with unique lava pools. Visit to Biscoitos and visit the wine cellars. This tour includes lunch.
Island of Sao Miguel
Monday, April 26
Full day sightseeing tour of the island. Visiting the seaside town of Vila Franca do Campo, and also the botanical gardens of Terra Nostra Park. In the afternoon we travel to Lagoa das Furnas with included lunch, prepared in the hot springs. After lunch, we’ll visit the Azores Islands oldest volcanic crater, the Miradouro do Ferro.
Tuesday, April 27
Afternoon half day tour of a Pineapple Plantation on the eastern end of the island.
Thursday, April 29
Full day tour of Riberia Grande, and Lagoa that includes a visit to the ceramic factory in Lagoa and the local liquor factory of Eduardo Ferreira.
We’ll visit the island’s second largest city of Riberia Grande, where we’ll have lunch at a traditional restaurant. On our return to Ponta Delgada, via the scenic northern coast, we’ll stop at the hot springs of Velha.
